Serbian Train to EU: Draft Law on Protection of Personal Data

How is it possible that, under the Personal Data Protection Strategy for 2023–2030, the Government of the Republic of Serbia has set the objective of Serbia being recognized by the European Commission by 2030 as a country ensuring an adequate level of personal data protection, while the Draft Law on Protection of Personal Data fails to provide for effective and dissuasive sanctions for violations of this law?
